Water Issues

Overwatering landscapes does nothing but waste water. For those who live in a high desert region water requirements should be your number one consideration when choosing plants and designing a new landscape.
Implementing water saving ideas is not a just when we are suffering from a drought, but this should be normal thinking for all home gardeners and landscape professionals.

This is what overwatering and ignoring your landscape will do. All of this plant material is now gone and I am doing the final cleaning. I have not decided if I will plant anything, but if I do it will be easy to maintain and fit the area.

I had to prune and clean yards and yards of plant material just to get to the irrigation line to find several of the 1/2 inch lines without end caps, someone used black tape. The amount of water that was being wasted was overwhelming.
I now have the system functional.

I have no idea why anyone would install emitters to rabbit bush. These shrubs don't need irrigation, they can live on what nature's provides. This shrub is now gone and will be replaced with a raised garden bed.

I would encourage you to walk your landscape and see how your plants are doing. Are the plants that just don't look good and haven't all season. It might be time to remove the plant and save water. Spend time researching a better choice, check sun requirements and water needs.
I invite you to send a note, or better yet lets set up a consultation to get your garden ready for the up coming fall/winter months.
