Having never been a rose fan, I think I have found a variety of roses that would be a great addition to any garden. They are the single and double petals blooming varieties know as, ground cover, spreading, knock out and flower carpet roses. Many growers provide nurseries and garden centers with these, and they focus on there disease and pest resistant features. You will also find many colors. Most are low growing that will be full of blooms all season.
These are not a drought tolerant plant, however they are productive with a reasonable amount of water. Newly planted should be protected over the first several winters, and winter watering is advised.

There are many wonderful multi petal roses too, and one I must highlight is the Iceberg Rose. This amazing white blooming variety is hardy, blooms all season and is great in an area where it can be enjoyed at night. Planting on a walkway or out of a window that is used often will let you enjoy in the day and at night, especially in a full moon.
