As the edible gardening season winds down in Northern Nevada, there are several ways you can extend the season by growing cold hardy lettuces and greens in cold frames, under frost cloth or in a hoop house/greenhouse.

When winter really sets in, a great way to exercise your green thumb is to use a seed sprouter to grow healthy sprouts indoors.
