Yesterday I posted weather and watering information, I hope it was
helpful. It made me think that I have been struggling with the emitters that
are 0 to 10 gallon an hour, they seem to clog easily. I have a well and the
sand particles are the culprit. Another positive thing is that I know how much
water each plant is getting. If I put 4 emitters around my small oak tree and
run the station ½ hour the tree will get 8 gallons of water, rather than trying
to set the screw style all the same. The first test seemed to work great.
The black one is the style I replaced, the black and red are 4 gallon per hour and the green are a 2 gallon per hour that I will be using on my shrubs.
I quit using the emitters because I couldn't adjust the flow rate. With dozens of plants on one sprinkler zone it was impossible to get everything right. If I want to use an emitter style vs sprayer I use the inline flow controller. It functions exactly like the red and green ones you show above but I can reach down and increase/decrease the flow rate at each plant. Marsha
