Anyone out their compost, I have a perfect place in our new yard to compost all my garden waste. I have all the carbon I will need from the trees and I started a kitchen recycling system.
My friend Jennifer told me how to use egg shells not only in the compost pile, but also how to use them as a direct planting nutrient. I save the shells and blend them making a powdery mix that is perfect for mixing into any soil.
I fill a 5 gallon bucket of water, add the used coffee grounds and water my maple trees.
I am sure they love acid; simple and helpful.
Most kitchen scraps and garden debris can be used in a compost. Keep the meat and dairy products out as well as dog and cat droppings.
