Sending a Message with Flowers

A friend gave me a copy of the book The Language of Flowers, it was amazing. I can see how this will be a book I can re-read from time to time.

What I learned is that flowers have different meanings and I will try to be thoughtful with flower choices depending on the occasion.

As we wrap up escrow I found myself in my garden cutting a small bouquet for the kitchen and was surprised by the meaning of the three flowers I gathered.

Caryopteris dark knight: acknowledgement
Leucanthemum shasta daisy: innocence
Achilea yarrow: healing

All of these blooming flowers have meaning to me at this point and I was surprised how I accidentally put together a calming and enjoyable bouquet.
