I have been growing my sweet basil inside my home since December and harvesting as needed. I love always have fresh basil and not have to toss any from going bad in the fridge.
I make sure to feed and water my plants regularly and look forward to planting them in my garden.
Tip 1: Make sure to keep the ice cubes don't touch the stems. They will slowly dissolve letting the plant take up the water easily.
Tip 2: Feed your plants once a month. I use diluted worm tea. It is a perfect nutrient source and doesn't smell and I don't have any issues with bugs.
(Send me a note if you would like more information on worm tea)
Using ice cubes to water is nothing new, but I thought a reminder as to how easy it is would help you care for your indoor plants. All plants need watering, why not make it as easy as possible.
