Watering with Ice Cubes

With all that goes on this time of the year watering house and holiday plants needs to be easy; and I think I have the answer, ice cubes. This is the time of the year plants in the home might dry out faster because we are using heaters. Using ice cubes is not only easy, but a more effective way to get water to the roots in a slow process and keeps the water from running out the bottom of the container making a mess. I will water this twice a month.

Use water that has not gone through a salt system, plants hate salt.

Space cubes evenly so the entire  root system will benefit.

Don't let the ice cubes touch the stems as best possible. Ice can burn the cambium.

For added benefit add super thrive or liquid worm casting to your plants, I do this 3 to 4 times a year.

Wishing you a safe and fun holiday season,
